Official programme of events released as everyone gets excited about Rock Fest and the Jazz Festival in Bansko

The summer events programme for this year has been released. You can see it here.

It includes the Rock Festival 17th to 19th of July, the Jazz Festival 1st to 10th of August, the Opera Fest 28th to 30th of August, and the Culinary Festival 5th to 8th of August. There are many other festivals and events happening over the next six to eight weeks.

The cultural evenings started this weekend too, with pottery lessons on Friday at 5pm, craftsmanship (wool spinning this week) at 5pm on Saturday, and folklore dancing at 6pm on Saturday. All of these cultural evenings take place at the same time each week until the 23rd of September (different traditions or demonstrations each week for the first two) at the Tourist Information Center in Bansko (next to the big tree/church) here.

The events in July for Razlog are available here. If any are due to come up in the next week, I’ll include them in the events area of the newsletter (see below).

Before You Go…

Many places in town feel busy now, from the square to Pirin 75 on weekend nights. And, with Tipsy 360 now open every day from 4pm, it looks like there’s lots of variety to choose from if you’re heading out for a drink with friends.

If you’re interested in checking out Tipsy 360 (located here), here’s some more info:

  • Open weekdays from 4pm to 10pm(ish); until 11pm/midnight on Friday & Saturday (closing times may vary)

  • Happy hour 4pm to 6pm (2 beers or wines for 7 BGN)

  • Special all-day discounts for people who live in Bansko (ask Kris)

  • Draught: Kamenitsa, Madri, Guinness

  • Bottles: Kamenitsa, Madri, Stella, Staropramen

  • Can order food from Casa di Papi to eat at Tipsy 360

  • Cocktail menu & deals on shots

  • Cheesy music (always 😂)

  • Lots of outside seating

One other thing that is good is that Kris decided to get a decent table wine: Logodaj boxed wine. Finally. It’s the same wine that Smokey Mountain has, as well as The Chef’s House, The Station, and The Hub used to have (before they closed permanently).

Watch a quick video walk-around of the bar by Neveah here.
