Music, a food festival & mountain adventures in Bansko

This weekend wraps up the summer events calendar for 2025, with Unique Bansko’s culinary festival that included folk dancing, an amazing array of traditional cuisine from Bansko, and lots of music, laughter and dancing. See a video here & here.
There was also the bike fest, which took place on the same weekend as the one in Pomporovo, and saw lots of grit, determination, and tired but happy (and slightly muddy) faces at the end. See a video here.
Now that (nearly) all of the main events are over for summer 2025, we other interesting stories coming up over the next few weeks.
For now, if you’re in Bansko, the weather is staying sunny, and it’s definitely a key time to get up into the mountains and hike.

Before You Go…
There was a comment last week on a post in the Bansko Notice Board asking me why I didn’t publish more “original” and “new” news instead of “regurgitating” information from other outlets, pages, etc.
I’m not sure if this person hasn’t been active on Facebook for a while, but it’s been common in Bansko for items to be shared on the notice board Facebook group with a summary of the story for a long time.
If you’re someone who isn’t happy with the weekly Bansko Buzz emails coming to your inbox every week, then feel free to scroll down to the bottom of this email and unsubscribe. The Buzz was never set up to bring “exclusive” news every week. I provide a summary of news, events, and happenings, along with my take on things, and sometimes include information that you won’t find anywhere else (because it hasn't been announced yet).
Additionally, if you’re part of the notice board Facebook group and aren’t satisfied with how it’s managed, feel free to scroll to the top of the group and leave. There’s little point in being in there if you’re unhappy with things.
Now that’s said, we can move on to other things next week. :-)
