Yesterday (Saturday 31st), the local Rotary Club organised a charity run in Bansko town to raise money for the “Give Them Wings” foundation. Nearly 300 people participated in the 3km run around town, raising over 2,000 BGN for the charity.

Bansko Municipality Confirms Budget for 2025
The local municipality has confirmed its budget of just under 6.3 million BGN to be allocated to various projects, including construction projects, replacing traffic lights at intersections, and repairing pavements and roads. Read more.
Bansko Celebrates International Children’s Day
Today (Sunday) is International Children’s Day, and Bansko hosted a number of events (see the photos here). This week, local schoolchildren shared their knowledge with visitors to the town’s museums in an effort to enhance learning and activities outside the classroom. Read more.
Municipality Promotes Local Electronics and Energy High School
The local municipality has announced four major areas of the curriculum for students who wish to join the local electronics and energy high school: Artificial Intelligence Programming, Computer Technology, Electric Vehicles, and Heating Technology. Read more.

Events Next Week
Bansko Run Club
On Tuesday (3rd) at 6.30pm a few people in town will gather to go for a run together. They will meet at Altspace’s central location on Gotse Delchev Street and finish up at Pirin 75 for some well-deserved refreshments. More info.
Beginner Bachata Dance Classes
Kizomba Bansko is running a very beginner-level 1 Bachata dance course that starts on Tuesday (3rd) at Four Leaf Clover at 7pm. If you’ve always wanted to try this is a great opportunity. More info.
Biathlon For All
On Saturday 7th of June, there will be a biathlon event for people of all ages. A sporting competition that aims to bring together young and old, amateurs and professionals, to show that movement and sport are for everyone. The event will take place in the town square, and tickets are available to purchase online. More info.
It looks like the next Bansko Street Dogs’ quiz is being planned. It could be next Monday (9th) or towards the end of the month.

Before You Go…
Places have started to open back up in town in preparation for the summer season, with the weather looking to be quite sunny and warm from next weekend 💪. This week has been mixed.
The first main event of the summer season is the Nomad Fest (BNF), which starts on Sunday 22nd of June in the town square and lasts until the following Sunday (29th).
