EU’s New EES Comes Into Effect on Sunday 12th
One week from today, the EU’s new EES (Entry-Exit System) will start operations. This system covers the entire EU. If you hold citizenship or residency in a European Union country, then your data is already being shared (no extra steps required; it doesn’t significantly impact you). If you don’t, the first time you enter an EU country (at a border and once it’s active in that territory), you will need to submit biometric data (queues likely). More info.

Early Bird Season Pass Prices Announced
This week, Ulen (the ski resort’s operator) announced early bird pricing for season passes. They held the price at last year’s, so it’s 1,700 BGN (or €869) if you buy your season pass between now and the 30th of November (usually open 8,30am to 4.30pm). If they stick to last year’s pricing, then the price after this EB period will be 1,900 BGN (or €971). We’ll have to wait until around the start of December for other prices to be announced. More info.

*Yes, the snow will probably melt soon(ish) and shouldn’t give false hope for the coming winter season, but it’s good to see and keep those fingers crossed 🤞.
