In just under four weeks’ time, the EXE Winter Festival will arrive in Bansko, bringing a new style mountain music event to the resort.
On both days (Saturday 14 March and Sunday 15 March), the daytime event runs from 12pm to 7pm in the “Rave Zone” at Banderishka Polyana.
The lineup includes: HUGEL, Miss Monique, Juany Bravo, Yotto, Pavel Petrov, Dimo, Bagerziev, and Jaffar, mixing international headliners with Bulgarian electronic music acts.
After parties will run from 6pm to 1am at Happy End, and 11pm until late at Flash Club. Both are ticketed events, with Flash Club tickets available on the door only.
According to organisers, all of the VIP/Backstage tickets have sold out, and over 80% of the regular tickets have already gone, so if you’re thinking about going it’s worth buying soon.
Tickets are priced at 170€ for the two-day event (festival & gondola), and 200€ (festival, gondola & lifts). Single-day tickets are priced at 95€ (festival & gondola) and 110€ (festival, gondola & lifts). There is currently no published information for people who already have a ski pass.
You can buy tickets here.
Also, expect a significant influx of people in town for this event weekend.

Before You Go…
There seem to be a few business owners I’ve spoken to this week who say it’s one of the quietest Februarys they’ve seen in recent years.
I find that interesting because when I’ve been out and about, it feels as though there are the right number of people for this time of year (maybe slightly down on last year when the snow conditions were one of the best they were in years, but I don’t see numbers as being much lower than they should be).
Maybe those businesses need to get better at marketing and advertising, instead of taking the Bansko approach, with a “if we build it, they will come…” mentality that sees quite a lot of smaller businesses close after a year or two.
If you’re a local business in Bansko and you’re not seeing the number of people coming to your business that you’d like (and the revenue), reply to this email and I’ll offer some quick actions to boost customer numbers.
