Running from tomorrow (Monday 1st) until the start of January, a Christmas Village will be open at the White Stage just outside Bansko town (location).
The opening of the village will be tomorrow at 6pm, with festive music, a Christmas bazaar with a variety of stalls offering unique Christmas gifts and handcrafted items, fun & laughter, fireworks, and Santa on the grill (not sure why he’s not in his grotto though).
It’s the first time the White Stage has been used for this type of event before, and by the look of all of the promotional material, it seems as though it’s going to have quite a few different covered stalls and activities.
There is also a “donation” payable of 5 BGN to raise money for Marina Galchina from Razlog, who needs some treatment in Turkey for a rare medical condition, which I’ve mentioned before in the Bansko Buzz (read more here).
If you head there this week, feel free to post about it (along with some photos) to the Bansko Notice Board Facebook group. Read more information about the event here and on the Christmas Village page here.
Altspace: a coworking space that fits your lifestyle, not the other way around.
Our community bridges the gap between the Bansko community and working online at a coworking space, bringing people together by challenging each other on Side Hustle Day, enjoying dinner together in a local restaurant, painting & wine, or chilling and talking about everything and nothing at Friday Beers.
If you want to join a community and coworking space that offers the right work-life balance, then book a trial day with Altspace Coworking. It’ll be one of the best decisions you’ll make.

A Dinosaur Park Comes to Bansko! (Well… Maybe)
Simon shared some images of dinosaurs coming to Bansko (near The Snug). However, it’s a bit of a confusing situation because later the same day, the dinosaurs were removed from the area. 😂

Before You Go…
Well, it continued to be a rainy week in Bansko. Completely miserable.
Did that mean it was snowing a lot on the mountain? Well… a little. On the peaks, yes, further down? Nothing. It looks like Yulen will be turning on the canons to put a base layer of snow across the slopes over the next week, as only some snow is expected over the next 7 to 10 days.
Will everything be ready for opening day on the 13th? Maybe, but that doesn’t matter all that much; they’ll open the resort anyway (even if it’s one or two lifts/runs open). The run-up to the season is looking quite different to last year, when everything was pretty much ready to go around now.
This coming weekend (from Saturday 6th to Monday 8th) is student weekend: around 5,000 young people (estimated numbers increased this week) come to Bansko to eat, drink and party. So, the upper part of town (around the gondola/Ginger traffic lights) will be busy over those days, and lots of places will be open but full.
